With 302 horsepower and 302 lb-ft of torque from a silky smooth 4.3-liter V8, the AMG C43 is a serious sports sedan that commands attention and respect. While only available with a 5-speed automatic transmission, it still manages to keep up with the BMW M3 and Audi S4 with a 0-60 MPH time of 5.8 seconds, proving that the old American musclecar formula for success still has merit today. The white gauge faces and color-keyed leather racing seats let you know that this is no ordinary C-Class Benz, but the subtle aerodynamic accents and tasteful bodywork maintain the understated "sleeper" look perfect for stoplight surprises. Graced with AMG-tuned mechanical bits and legendary Mercedes quality and reliability, the C43 is a 155 MPH wolf in sheep's clothing.

I have had the C43 for just over a year and have really enjoye the car. The suspension a little firm on Midwestern city streets but have found I can very the tire pressure to make it livable. I love the torque and the adaptive transmission. I have decided to have the ECU remapped. Jet Products assures me that it will still pass emission testing and give me an honest additional 25 rear wheel horsepower. I will have this car for a long time. Afterall where does one go from here?

I was planning to buy a Audi S4 but the Manual Tran got me to look for another car, I found the Audi A6 4.2 quatrro, but I still wanted a sporty car, however, I havent decided yet and I saw a 99 C43 and It looks in good condition, So I dont know what to buy. Since its from 99 and its got 60kmiles. I like it allot but I need some imput on the maintnence of the car, does it have problems or just needs it regular visit to the mechanic every 15k. I don;t know I really like it but maybe someone can help me decide if the year and the old C class is the right choice. THank you.

Hmm Now how can a car with 302 HP beat a car of similar weight that has over 3330 ( the M-3). Some have eaten Vettes, I doubt that to be honest , still weight too much against a even 350 Vettes. Certainly won;t eat my Z-06. Anytime anplace baby! I ate one at Willow Springs and it was a factory care, specail paint. so I am sure it had some tweaking to boot.

I've had mine for two years now, and really enjoy it. It has phenomenal brakes (they're the same as the E55's...), lots of bottom-end torque and sounds like a NASCAR beast when the cams and induction come on over 4 grand (only smoother; the MB V8 has a different firing order). I really enjoy its performance, but if gentle, can happily get 22 mpg around town. Not a bad formula for high performance and decent economy with its light shell and large, efficient engine; and yet it is such a sleeper! I am putting a lot more miles on it than I planned to, but I am flat-out smiling!

that time i have bought my c43, i didn´t knew what car it should be. i had to decide between a sl 60 amg, sl 600 R129 or the c43. i had very good experiences with the sl, because my father is having one since 4 years. he has got one of the last cars leaving the factory. but i decided to buy the c43, because it is having the more modern technic than the r129. otherwise it is an amg. now i can say it was the right decission. it´s the perfect compromise of nearly never ending power, perfect brakes, a car for 4 persons for long rides and it contains sportive and comfortable driving. it only takes 5.9s for the 0-100 km/h and for the 200-0 only 5.1 sec in 141,6 meters. perhaps you want to visite my website www.amg-c43.de

Picked it over an M3 and Jag XJR. I own a Boxster S and just traded an '86 Carrera Cab. The C43 feels faster than above, and seems tighter and more responsive in "around town" situations. The torque is great. I would not change a thing on this car.

Excellent Ride, perfect for 4 passengers with Automatic Tranny. I shopped around for many different cars, like the S4, M3 4 door, etc. So far this is the best and the most fun. I currently own: 1990 BMW M3 for my daily driving. 1998 Toyota Land Cruiser for all terrain and family get away. and of course the 1999 Mercedes C43 for weekend and fun.

I am an avid auto enthusiast (car nut). Have owned a diverse mix of cars such as 1995 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta, 1978 308 GT4, 1967 Dino's, 1987 Carrera,1971-1973.5 Porsche 911, Mustang 5.0's, BMW 2002tii's, 3,5's and 7 series BMW cars, Audis, Bricklins, Triumphs, Jaguar xjs v12's, various other Mercedes from 250c, sl's to 300ce 4 valve...from opels to caddys to olds to mavericks to lotus to maserati's.... and my 1999 C43 AMG is literally the best car I have owned. It is the superb balance of performance, handling, looks and luxury in one perfect package. I was shopping for a sportscar, preferably a two seater... i test drove so many models from 2004 Mazda RX8, volvo S80 T6 Executive, three Audi S4's (almost bought one) and most other marquis and nothing touched this Mercedes, including various other mercedes models. I am so happy with this car. Everyone smiles who sits in it. My car has 28,000 miles and has 2 years left on the warranty. I will keep this car forever! Black on Black.. If you are thinking of buying one... and you find one..BUY IT! My 300CE is my daily driver w/ my C43 as my weekend car, along w/ some others..

I love this car cause we've got 2 (c280). But I've edited a lot of things in, ex:wheels, mirors, smoke generator, lights, tailights (red to black).. But in all ways thank you ben for this great car and thank to electronic arts for this great game. I hope that you made a lot of exellent cars without too much 3D details (i don't have yet a good graphic card)... ;)

I adore this car: original owner w/100,000 miles in 4.3 yrs. EATS M3's & S4's alive. Munched on my share of 'vettes also. Was lucky enough that some blessed engineer at Aufrecht Mueller Grossespacht put the "continental" chip in--not the 155 mph USA chip! Does over 165 mph easily. ie: NYC to Miami in 17 hours flat. Trained it to do 0-60 in 5.3; 0-80 in a flat 6.0!!! I will NEVER sell this car. Adding an SLK 32AMG ASAP!

This is not only a "Keeper" it's a "Drivers Car". Currently own a '99 C43BlkAmg and '02 SLK32AMG not to mention the trusty '91 Accord. Previously owned ML430; BMW328iA, Infinity, so I feel confident when I say it's the best to drive.

As the owner of a 1999 C43, this is probably the best car ever made besides the E55 and the CLK-GTR. There isn't another car out there that can compete against Mercedes technology.
